Steve G is the winner of FANTASY PLAYOFF POOL 17.  His roster was
comprised of POOL MVP Tom Brady, who finished the playoffs with
921 yards passing, 10 touchdown passes and 4 interceptions.
Steve G
had the starting running backs of both Super Bowl teams.  Seattle's
Marshawn Lynch had 318 yards rushing and 57 yards receiving in the
post-season and was the top-scoring Running Back for the second year
in a row.  New England's LeGarrette Blount scored 35 of his 40 fantasy
points on Championship Sunday when he rushed for 148 yards and 3
touchdowns against Indy.  Steve G scored 99.7 fantasy points on
Championship Sunday (most in the pool) as Brady tossed 3 TD passes
and Lynch & Blount combined for 305 yards rushing and 4 scores.
STEVE needed a bargain WR and found one with $4 Danny Amendola.
Amendola had 11 catches for 137 yards and three scores.  He was the
third highest scoring receiver.  STEVE also got three TD catches from
Doug Baldwin (10 catches, 147 receiving yards).  The last key to
STEVE's win was $3 kicker Justin Tucker.  Tucker had 4 FGs and 7 extra
points for 23 fantasy points.  One of his kicks was from beyond 50
yards.  Tucker was on 6 of the top 7 teams.
STEVE grabbed the lead in the Pool on Marshawn Lynch's TD run with
2:22 remaining in the first half of SB49.  He surpassed
'PINKNEY', who
had topped the Pool for two straight weeks.  Once in the lead, STEVE
got 3 TD passes from Brady and scores from both Amendola and
Baldwin.  His lead was never seriously challenged.

For the third time in Pool history, the outcome was decided with a
4th-quarter touchdown in the Super Bowl.  C.J. Anderson's 2-yard TD
run with 3:13 remaining put
GAMBLERS ANONYMOUS in the lead for
good.  GAMBLERS ANONYMOUS had won week 3, but had lost control
of the lead early in the 4th Quarter of SB50.
GAMBLERS ANONYMOUS had players from 7 different NFL teams at
the 7 'skill positions'.  That included Pool MVP Cam Newton.  Newton
finished with 761 yards passing, 3 TD passes, 2 interceptions, 95
rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs.  Newton did most of his damage in
the NFC Championship where he tallied 37 fantasy points.  That total
matches any other QB's playoff total.  Newton becomes the first QB
with a double-digit salary to be on the Pool Champion.  C.J. Anderson,
234 yards rushing/2 TDs, was the highest scoring running back.
Martavis Bryant, the highest scoring player over the first two weeks
and highest scoring receiver, was also on the roster.  Bryant responded
well after being called out by his QB before the playoffs.  He had 14
receptions for 183 yards and a TD.  Brandon McManus was the highest
scoring kicker going 10 for 10 on FG attempts, including two from 50+.
McManus was on the top six teams.  GAMBLERS ANONYMOUS got a
touchdown each from rookie David Johnson (RB), Davante Adams (WR)
and Albert Wilson (WR).  Johnson was a workhorse as expected with 30
carries and 15 receptions in 2 games.  GAMBLERS ANONYMOUS got
just enough to win as they win Fantasy Playoff Pool 18 by less than one
fantasy point!!

James White received the fewest selections of any RB salaried at $6
or more, but he scored the most post-season TDs.  White's three TDs
and SB-record 14 catches in SBLI helped propel
FIORINO to the Pool
Championship.  It wasn't until overtime of the Super Bowl that
had finally grabbed the lead in the Pool.
FIORINO's squad consisted of POOL MVP Matt Ryan, who was the
Pool's top-scoring player.  Ryan threw for 1,014 yards and 9 TDs
without a pick.  Ryan also rushed for 1 TD.  FIORINO had the top
scoring RB, Devonta Freeman, with 330 yards from scrimmage and 3
TDs.  Julio Jones ($9) is the highest-salaried WR ever on a
Championship roster.  Jones had 19 catches for 334 yards and 3 TDs.
Jones was the Pool's top WR.  FIORINO also had the next best WR,
Chris Hogan, who had 17 catches for 332 yards and 2 TDs.  Hogan was
salaried at only $5 and set an NFL record for most receiving yards in a
post-season game by an undrafted player.  Lastly, FIORINO's tight end
was Jared Cook.  Cook completely dominated the Pool at the TE
position.  Cook had 18 catches for 230 yards and 2 scores.  Cook had 24
more fantasy points than the next best TE.
Todd Snyder (TFS) finishes runner-up.  Snyder won Week 3 and led the
Pool throughout SBLI until losing the lead in overtime.  TFS was a
surprise winner for Week 3.  TFS got an astonishing 478 yards and 5
TDs from his receiving corps of Julio Jones, Chris Hogan and Julian
Edelman during the Conference Championships.

NOVA cracked the Fantasy Playoff Pool top 10 when Rob
Gronkowski scored a TD with 12:19 remaining in the third quarter of
SB52.  By the time Gronk scored his second TD of SB52, in the fourth
NOVA had a double-digit lead in the Pool and never looked
back.   Pool MVP, Rob Gronkowski, finished the post-season with 218
yards receiving and 3 TDs.
There was 1,151 yards of offense in SB52, a record for any modern
NFL game.  This allowed entries stacked with Patriots and Eagles to
soar up the rankings.  NOVA's receivers were flying high in the Super
Bowl.  Amendola, Hogan and Agholor combined for 364 yards through
the air with one score.  Add that to Gronk's 116 yards and 2 TDs.
Danny Amendola was the top wide receiver in the playoffs with 26
receptions for 348 yards and 2 TDs.  Hogan (9-152) added 2
post-season TDs as well.
NOVA also had Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles at QB.  Foles threw for
971 yards and 6 TDs in the playoffs.  He also scored on a TD catch on a
fourth down trick play called 'Philly Special'.   Foles' 36 selections were
fewest in the Pool for any QB salaried over $4.
NOVA got at least 10 fantasy points from each of his roster spots.
NOVA got TDs from the Eagles defense and rookie Christian McCaffrey,
who had 100+ receiving yards in his only game.  NOVA got 214
scrimmage yards from Jay Ajayi and 167 receiving yards from Nelson
Agholor.  Graham Gano kicked 4 FGs, including one from 50+, in his
only playoff game.
